Drug and firearm offences, Deception Bay

Three people have been charged following the discovery of firearms, ammunition, counterfeit money and drugs during a police search in Deception Bay.

On September 18, officers from Deception Bay Station executed a search warrant at a residence where they located a sawn-off shotgun, live ammunition, firearm magazines, home-made firearm components, steroids, counterfeit money, as well as multiple dangerous drugs including cannabis, methylamphetamines, MDMA, heroin and GHB.

A 35-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with multiple offences including possession of dangerous drugs, a shortened firearm, explosives, counterfeit money, and drug-related items. He was refused police bail and is expected to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court today, September 19.

A 42-year-old Kallangur man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and property suspected of being used in the commission of a drug offence. He is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on October 13.

A 21-year-old Buddina woman was charged with possession of utensils and property linked to drug offences. She was referred to a drug diversion program.
