A man has died and two others have been injured after a car rollover south of Brisbane overnight.
Emergency services were called to New Beith Road in Greenbank, Logan, about 42 kilometres from Brisbane, just before 10pm following reports of a single-vehicle crash.
Police said the driver of a Volkswagen Amarok suffered critical injuries when the car left the road and rolled. The 31-year-old man died at the scene despite paramedics’ efforts.
Two male passengers, aged 36 and 35, were treated by Queensland Ambulance Service before being taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
According to QLD Government, Queensland’s road toll for 2025 has reached at least 182 fatalities, a figure that already raises concern as the state nears or risks surpassing last year’s toll of approximately 302 deaths.
